I struggled to finish this book. The ending wrapped up nicely, but I was bored most of the way through.

LAME. Another crappy Reese Bookclub book.
Rich club people do bad things. Some of them die. Some of them are murderers.

boring. snoozefest. would purposely start reading this in order to fall asleep. i’m so glad i’m done. don’t get me wrong, i’m glad i know the ending, but it didn’t change my life or have me in a chokehold. it was also incredibly drawn out until the very end like even the epilogue could’ve been shortened.

While i thought this good was overall good, i do think it left wanting a lot more. Yes all the ends were “tied” up but i really feel like the suspenseful part of the book was a lot more intriguing than the reveal(s). I did really like the plot and idea of the story cause it combines my two greatest loves - thrillers and celebrities.

Definitely worth the read! real star rating is 3.9

the type of book that makes you ooooo and ahhhh while reading it but I know in a week i’ll totally forget what it’s even about. there was just too much going on, too many characters / POVs
so overall a painfully okay book

I listened to this book at 2.5x speed and still found it slow and exhausting to get through. I thought several times about not finishing it and I can’t say that I am glad I trekked through. The plot had potential, but quickly fell flat. There were too many characters that were poorly developed and it was overly descriptive at times, making it difficult to keep my attention (although I am a bit inattentive at baseline so take that as you will). I would probably only recommend this to people who have difficulty sleeping at night as the audiobook is a great sleep aid!

Finished it and sort of liked it? It’s the kind of book you read to give your brain a break. Premise is interesting but it becomes quite boring about halfway through.
