Incredible. I picked this book up because my brother had an imaginary friend when he was little named "Bedo". Therein the similarities lie, but the entire story narrated by the imaginary friend was a really interesting twist to the plot. Loved it!

I thought this book was going to be another look inside an unusual mind. It was that, but it was so much more than that, too. It was surprising and imaginative and insightful. I really enjoyed reading it.

There is one scene that is, unfortunately, peppered with f-words. There are about five of them in one paragraph. That's the only bad language in the entire book.

I’ve never had an imaginary friend but this book was my favorite growing up so yeah. I love it.

from the first page I completely loved it. one of my favourite ever books.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: I actually really enjoyed this book. I hadn't heard of it before, but I'm glad that I gave it a listen, because it was great. I loved the narrator. His voice was easy to listen to and fit with the characters well. The concept of the story is really interesting. I've never read anything from a perspective like this before and it was very well done. The story line itself was interesting and exciting. There were funny moments, touching moments, sad moments and suspenseful moments. This book had it all and was a great all-around read.

CHARACTERS: Budo was such a great character. I loved seeing the world though his eyes and watching him change throughout the story.

COVER: I like how it's blurred out. It fits with the idea of this imaginary friend and the possibility of them fading over time.

I think I´m in love with an imaginary friend.

What if imaginary friends were real?

I mean..not real real – they are imaginary after all. But what if the imaginary friends had a consciousness of their own? could make their own experiences and choices?

Budo is 6 years old. Well, not really... he looks rather older. But he is existing like this since 6 years. Max made him up. That is his imaginer.

Max is not an easy child. He has some sort of autism and has problems with lots of things. Mostly people. So Budo has to help him get through the day.
Budo also meets other imaginary friends. Sometimes they are just a bow with eyes or they look like a spoon or are huge giants.

This book is very very special. And Budo is the most lovable character I read about in a long time.

Please read this!

Literally sobbing finishing this rn. What the hell this is not okay
