Well, that was a great ride! So very imaginative and took me to wholly unexpected reading fun. I was sucked in and anxious for the denouement.

I was bored and as cute as i think this story is, it’s just not one I’m interested in. Not relatable to where I’m at in life. I might pick it up eventually but right now it’s a no.

"It's strange how teachers can go off to college for all those years to learn to become teachers, but some of them never learn the easy stuff. Like making kids laugh. And making sure they know that you love them."

This book was one of the most creative plot lines that I have ever encountered. It was told in the viewpoint of an "imaginary friend" and it answered the question of what happens when a young child no longer needs their made-up friend. It was very suspenseful, especially during the ending. I do not want to spoil the plot but something "bad" happens and the imaginary friend must figure out a way to help them.

It would have been 5 stars, but the ending threw me.

Updated to add the fifth star because I finally "got it." (I think.)

Never ugly cried so hard in my life. Such a good book. Everyone needs to read this
