The last half of the book made me cry more than any book has. I read the final three chapters through tears. 5/5 loved it so much.

Brutally sad. I took a long break in between reading the first 3/4s and the last 1/4 because life got hectic, which definitely influenced how I see this now because it feels a little disjointed.

First reread (with the bestie at work via audible) 5/8-5/10/24

This book hurts. Really. That’s it. It’s pain. And as soon as the first pains are healed, a new pain begins. I love this series and these characters more than I can even describe, and though I can’t swear by it, I believe Robbie is my favorite. I love the accent the narrator uses (which really has no bearing on picking Robbie, since I thought this before the reread), I can just SEE him when he’s talking, with his black plastic glasses. My bestie picked Carter/Gavin for her favorites, and Brothersong as her favorite book, but I gotta stick with Heartsong and Robbie. And Kelly. It’s his story too, after all.
