I wish I had this book when I was 15.
Check the trigger warnings before reading. This story covers some heavy topics, but it a gentle way. It didn’t dive too deep but it makes you feel 15 all over again. I really enjoyed that medication and therapy were shown as well as different types of illnesses\disorders. Sometimes they are only shown in a certain way and Winnie’s story can be a good place for others to see themselves when they don’t know exactly what is wrong. It felt like a good place for teens who are moving into more adult graphic novels rather than the heavy hitting novels.

I really enjoyed this finding yourself when all of your friends have left and you're struggling mentally. I found the mental health aspect of this to be really great. I loved that representation. I think that the tough topics were covered in a way that seemed like the way a teenager would have handled them. I wasn't wild about April as a character but I know it is likely a real type of friend you may have. I found that her behavior was just as hard to watch as winnies. I did enjoy the art and the comic within a comic.
