I know the naivety of the main character is there for the purpose of the story but at points I got so close to DNFing it. However I carried on and once I’d gone past her revelations I really enjoyed the ending.

This story bothered me when I first started reading it. I hadn't realized that the protagonist was mentally challenged. So, the prose sounded off to me. Once I realized that it was meant to be that way, I thought it was well done. It's a cozy murder mystery. Cute and quick read. It was ok, but I don't think I'll be reading the books that follow it.

It wasn't bad, but I expected something else. Anyway, I enjoyed reading it and I had some fun reading it.

I loved Molly so much! Her character was so unique and it was so interesting being in her mind the whole time. I hate how she was taken advantage of by many and how she was viewed, but at the end of the book we can really see how she’s grown and is proud to be who she is. Her monologue in the court room was very touching and made me feel for her. Overall her character was very well written and was different than any other book I’ve read.

I’m so glad she had people like Mr Preston, Charlotte, and Juan Manuel in her life; she deserved it so much after being used by so many others. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I found myself a little bored a few times of how the story was progressing. I felt that a few flashbacks from when Gran was alive could have been shortened and were a little too long for my liking. I think Gran held Molly back a little bit too when she was alive and we see that after she’s gone, having people from the outside world in around her, helped her grow. I was also surprised about who actually killed Mr Black but also not surprised after reading it. And the way Molly killed her grandmother too, was a little shocking and I don’t understand it fully.

I can’t wait to read the 2nd Molly the Maid book!

I am totally in love with Molly, especially because of how she reminds me of my daughter who is on the spectrum. The mystery isn't that hard to figure out. You can pretty much tell who are the good or bad eggs, even if Molly can't, initially. But the characters make this whole story so sweet and lovable! I would recommend this to everyone!

Enjoyable, if a little twee. The mystery is pretty straightforward (to everyone except Molly) I appreciated a neurodivergent protagonist, even if it didn't quite hit the mark for me. I liked the way Molly navigates the world by adhering to a set of rules. I loved how much she enjoys her work, and spending time with her Gran watching Columbo and working on puzzles. I did not enjoy the idiotic police investigator who couldn't detect her way out of a paper bag.
