things i liked:
- violet and liz (up until the third act breakup)
- rafi and ash (after the third act breakup)
- babs being so goofy
things i did not like:
- birdie and jecka’s meet disaster (i had to put the book down)
- rafi’s failed proposal (had to put the book down)
- jecka being barely a real character and just being a foil for birdies capital-I Issues
- THREEEEEEE third act breakups (TOO MANY)
- everyones weird thing about talking in ridiculous similes it drove me nuts. it was kind of okay for birdie because shes SUPPOSED to be trying to be funny but i could not do it for rafi or babs
- liz and violets age gap but it actually wasnt the age gap that was problematic its just that i cant understand dating someone younger than your youngest sibling. as an older sibling.
- everyone is just so awkward all the time

Three adult half siblings reunite at their celebrity mom’s manor for the holiday season, each looking to figure out their next steps in life. Liz is struggling to follow up her recent workplace success; Birdie can’t stop chasing meaningless flings long enough to have a successful career; and Rafi has recently had his proposal turned down and still has to work with his now ex girlfriend. Each of the siblings works through their own journey as the holidays come rolling in, full steam ahead.
This queer holiday story had great vibes, and Georgia Clark did a great job of really making the characters feel human. There was a plethora of heavy topics covered, which left me wanting a little less going on so that the topics could be covered more in depth. While I did find something to like about each of the siblings (some made it easier than others), it was a bit difficult at times to keep up with three separate storylines. I found that I was gravitating more to Liz’s storyline and just pushing through the other two. Overall, this is a good choice if you’re looking for a queer holiday family rom-com.
Thank you to Georgia Clark, Random House Publishing Group, and NetGalley for the advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

I loved how this book followed all three siblings on their individual journeys. Liz, Birdie, and Rafi are so well-developed and you really get a sense for who they are. It’s fun to see how they’re not only siblings, they’re also best friends. I enjoyed how their stories intertwined and overlapped, really giving you a family experience. I would love to see this grow into an anthology series with each sibling getting their own book. Definitely worth adding to your holiday reading list!
