I just ran out of time and interest25. I'll pick it up next winter.

These characters who were supposed to be 29 and older were written like teenagers. Couldn’t get through it I fear

Yesterday, I hated this book. I was listening to it at 3.5x speed and following along in my book. I hated Birdie. She was so unserious and harmful and that was just “part of the charm”. I bonded with Liz and Rafi, especially Rafi, who just wanted a grand love. Then I was hit by some of the quotes dealing with taking your own life seriously and I began to like it more. I went to book club and everyone gave their views of it and hoe they related to each character. And one woman said she related to Birdies journey
Spoilerand how it ended because sometimes sobriety is the happy ending. My little social working heart soared.
I left book club with a newfound understanding and affection for the book and all the characters. I appreciated the author making each character capable of introspection and difficult discussion. I also appreciated all the safe sex talk, even writing “healthy kings” in the margins.

This was a delight. The ONLY time a holiday romance should be almost 400 pages is when it’s telling three separate love stories. Lots of fun characters and yummy food descriptions.

Gah. Why not 5 stars? I found Birdie’s personality grating. Her sophomoric comments were kind of cringey. Also one of the narrative wrap ups was rushed.

Altogether a merry and gay Christmas romp. 🎄💚❤️🩷

I so enjoyed this delightful holiday novel from Georgia Clark! Clark set out with an ambitious writing plan here: follow the romantic journeys of three siblings (and their respective love interests) as they come together for an unforgettable holiday season in the Catskills. There are a lot of storylines and a bunch of characters, and initially I was concerned that Clark would struggle to pull it all together. There was just SO much going on. But in the end, I truly felt invested in each storyline, and I loved the way they all came together. Most Wonderful is cute, queer, and just spicy enough to make me blush. I'll definitely be picking up future books written by Georgia Clark.

Thank you to NetGalley for my advanced copy.
