Wow. Okay I wasn't expecting this at all!
More of a 4.5-4.75/5 stars.

This was my first Agatha Christie novel and I'm so glad that I read it! I've. Ever really been one for mysteries at least I thought! Crime shows are my absolute favorite, Criminal Minds being top one and then NCIS. I figured since I love crime shows that I would finally bring them into my love for reading. I'm so glad that I did it! I'm glad this was my first one that I read too. I love how you really had no idea of who it could be. I had one of the slightest ideas of something but that was about it. I wouldn't have expected what happened to be the actual outcome.

I loved Hercule Poirot as a character! I loved M. Bouc and the doctor as they were trying to figure it out. I loved its setting on a train! It was such a cool place to set a story! I loved the added French and I can try and use that REAL rusty French as I read!

I'm excited to read more of her work!

I feel like this deserves four stars but my own appreciation was more like 3 or 3.5. I liked it, but I won't go out and buy it.

I was kinda disappointed by the identity of the murderer and hoping it would be as amazing as And Then There Were None, but I still really liked the story and I was anxious to get to the end the whole time.
The ending was nice and satisfying.

It's amazing how Christie can fit all these details (and sooo many characters which is probably what bothered me most) into a 200-page story and make it all work.

Super short audio book, read in a day. Cute! Loved the full cast

A classic Agatha Christie. Technically a reread but it’s been 13 years (I did remember the basics of the twist of who did it). Even knowing that was coming this was super enjoyable and had be guessing and trying to pick apart the clues. Poirot is a fun lead character but the other side kicks are pretty boring. The cast of folks on the train were interesting and unique though.

A fun, engaging, quick read. I have only read one other Agatha Christie, which was more a study of character. I had expected that but enjoyed this different take. It all seemed obvious once it was played out.

4.5!
