It had so much potential for more but ultimately it was a miss.

i loved this so much.
i LOVE the jock/nerd trope, and here it’s done wonderfully.
both characters felt so real and it was like they were here with me.

i’ll definitely read other books by this author.

The Tight End is a great nerd/jock college addition to the Red's Tavern series. Logan is the sweetest, history loving here and his new housemate, Brody, is the star tight end for the university's game football team. There's a undercurrent of chemistry between them from their first meeting but they also work so well together as friends, each being a source of positivity and encouragement. It doesn't take long for them to share their first kiss and take big steps forward, both together and individually considering how hesitant they are for their own reasons about having anything together. Logan has never been with anyone and has pretty much loved in the background since bad bullying at high school and Brody keeps to one night stands to keep from getting any one hurt by the gossip that's shared about him online, being an out football player comes with a lot of unwanted attention.
These two are equally adorable and hot together. I love how things progress for them through the story, it's a mostly easy read with just a moment of drama. They've got a great group of friends around them that are a huge support in the good times and bad and it's great to read Logan come out of his shell with Brody by his side but also learn to believe in himself as well, 'take it til you make it' definitely a motto for inspiration.
It's so good having Logan's story after meeting him in Sam and Fox's book, The Stepbrother. He deserves his HEA along with Brody. They are both strong but in different ways and it takes getting to know each other for them to learn that. I'm hoping that her have Roman's story soon (Brody's older brother who works campus security) and it was a lot of fun being back in Red's Tavern. A recommended read for those who have enjoyed the series so far and those who enjoy nerd/jock, first times, college romances.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Super sweet college aged virgin nerd/experienced jock romance. For those who've read the rest of the Red's Tavern series, Logan is the cousin of Sam, the flirty bartender at Red's.

I absolutely adored Brody, he's just a sweet, nice guy. Almost unbelievably so, are there really guys that perfect out there? He struggles with what's probably undiagnosed ADHD though, and can't see his worth outside of Football.

Logan has always been the loner nerd, and he and Brody really help each other to be their best selves.

Dual POV first person, medium heat with no fade to black. Can be read as a standalone.

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews and I have chosen to leave an honest review.

New roommates Logan and Brody couldn’t be more different but they slowly start a new friendship. Logan wants to help Brody with his schoolwork and Brody wants to help Logan with his confidence. Their new friendship/relationship changes them for the better. Logan gains the confidence he need and Brody realizes that he can have it all with Logan. This book is so so sweet you might get a toothache! I really love this series and have enjoyed every book I’ve read. I hope we get more from this series in the future.

This was just some pure nerd/jock goodness, with the nerd thinking he wasn’t cool or handsome enough for the jock and the jock thinking he wasn’t smart/ambitious enough for the nerd. Sweet and cozy! (Altho, if I'm not mistaken, isn't that a rugby ball on the cover of this American football book?)

A super sweet football player and a shy history geek? Sign me up!

It's a beautifully sweet story and the characters are so lovable. The author did such a great job of sharing this story.

It's a college romance, with a little angst, and a whole lot of sweet moments.

It was a perfect quick read and all the sweet moments and the happily ever after just brightened my week.
