Alright. These characters are all sweet and I will definitely read Husband of the Year too. And Brodie! Look at you! Aw.
But WHAT is it with this man and highly inappropriate sex in closets AT WORK. Jesus.
The writing feels... beginnerish. Sentence fragments. Make you sound profound. And there's too much over explaining and profes ional tangents that don't serve the character or plot development.
Also--it seems like Kent is intentionally setting Vincent up for episodes with some of the situations he pushes him too. Bruh, you are not a qualified therapist and this NOT how exposure therapy works. And it veers wayyyyy too close to "fixing" Vincent. Not cool.
Say propensity ONE MORE TIME....
So okay it is not great. But the guys are sweet and I look forward to closing out the series.

Every time I read one of Wardell’s books I think that’s my favourite couple and then the next book changes my mind.
I love that this story is 2 people that are older and finding their love. I also really enjoyed that they were each finding their kinks in this relationship.
Truly I think I just wanted to snuggle Vincent and keep him safe.

Wardell’s writing just continues getting better and better. This was my favorite so far – incredible rep (bi, Jewish, OCD, older MCs) as always, no angst, completely sweet, funny, and a little kinky! Can’t wait for his next book!

If I had a nickel for every time a character’s physical description reminded me of Link Neal I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice right?
(It was really just the description of his hair)

3.5 stars rounding up. This book was fun albeit a little chaotic, but I guess that is in part because Kent is such a chaotic character. Kent and Vincent are opposites to extreme, but they seem to make it work and have a really deep understanding of one another. I love how Kent continually assures Vincent that his OCD isn't something he should be ashamed of, and that he loves him with his OCD as a part of him not despite of it.
I loved all the cameos from characters in book one and two of the series (especially Brodie), I think there was a decent amount of items setting up Husband of the Year so I'll be excited to read that next year. I was not prepared for foot fetish content though, nor exactly do I know how to feel about it....

Gets more spicy as you keep reading. Cute love story about older men (53 and 40-something) falling in love despite their self-believed shortcomings
