This was a definite page turner for me! It might have started out a tad slow, but it picked up quite quickly and I flew through it til the end. I was invested in the characters and storyline and found myself thinking about the book during the day even when I wasn’t reading. If you like flipping through pages late into the night, give this book a read! You won’t be disappointed!!
If the book started at the 50% mark I would have given this book 5 stars. But it took until that mark for the book started having substance.
And to top it off the beginning line about digging a hole doesn’t come into significance until 70% into the book.
It was so tough for me to get through this book. Real close to not finishing it.
There are so many details that went unanswered in this book.
Since Patrick was the one that was following her that her husband hired, did the people who wanted the USB even know where they were? Especially since they needed them to tell them the coordinates to the crashed plane.
Who killed the couple or was it really just an accident?
Why did the husband switch on her considering she was willing to go with the flow of being a criminal?
What was it that Holli did that gave her news coverage?
She got on my nerves a little but it’s almost like the things she did was necessary because her husband was not to be trusted.

This was a slow burn for me. It did have twists that I didn't expect. I just wish it would have been faster paced.

I really like the writing but I had a hard time with some of the plot points. The rain really keeps you engaged and interested in learning more. Definitely a page turner.
