From the very beginning of this book where the main character is explaining how she is digging a grave to bury a body to the very end, this was a fantastic suspenseful ride!
The author did a wonderful job of the narration (not something you can count on) even making the telephone conversations feel very far away.
There are so many layers to this story, from the love story and new marriage of the main character, to the prisoners about to released from prison who she is interviewing for her documentary to her husband's career. I really enjoyed this audiobook and it was a great listen on my 3 1/2 hour drive as well as the many drives back and forth while I started moving.

Started out with a great first chapter that had me hooked, but unfortunately the characters were greedy and made bad choices after bad choices. Not too mention the ending was a let down, I was like, that’s it!

The main character is so dumb. If this were a movie, I would've been telling at the screen the whole time. Just dumb decision after dumb decision, so dumb in fact that it doesn't really make sense why she would go to the lengths she goes to to carry out her dumb ideas. The ending is supposed to be a big surprise but I feel like there were holes in that, that it didn't quite add up. The plot stressed me out with the characters' dumb moves, but I needed to find out the ending. I almost quit reading many times. I do not recommend

A fun read with so many surprises and plot twists! This was the perfect book to get out of a reading slump

I don’t often like thrillers, but this one was really good and original, with compelling flawed characters.
There’s too much going on, yet I care about none of it. The loooong passages where the main character is googling things and explaining what she finds out to us drove me nuts.
