From the start, the story of Erin and Mark reeled me in. Catherine Steadman's narration is fantastic. Her voice and pacing really added to the story and I truly enjoyed the audio version. I try not to read spoilers, so the thing that they find in the water was a surprise and really intrigued me... Overall, good storytelling.

3.5 stars. Read by the author who is an actress. Some good suspense some other parts not quite believable.

Fun thriller.

This one was a slow builder. There were many times throughout the second half of the book where I found myself wondering what I would do if I were in the situation that Mark and his wife found themselves in. The book kept my interest enough that I finished it, but there were too many sub plots that I didn’t really feel like flowed with the overall storyline.

This is my first review to ever leave on here.

I was unsure about this book when I saw quite a few negative reviews. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it. One review said that the audio was incredible, and they were on point. It was definitely incredible. I will say that I didn’t enjoy the way the last few minutes ended, and I slightly expected the twist at the end. But, I was enveloped by the story for every second of it. I loved the way it was told, and enjoyed the writing. For me, I would describe it as a cozy thriller. I do feel like the ending was rushed just a bit, but I’m also one of the types that likes a clean wrap up at the end of a story. No part of me regrets spending my time to listen to this story.

It just keeps on and on and on...get to the point!

Started reading this for a book club my partner wanted to go to. I was bored.

3.5 stars rounded down. This book felt like a slog sometimes. I thought a few of the characters were unnecessary, they didn’t add much to the story. And about halfway through I started to suspect who the antagonist was. Wasn’t an awful book by any means, maybe just not my style.
