This was fun to work through, but I wish everything had been 10x harder. A great intro if you don't do a lot of logic puzzles, but very quick if you are a pro at them.
Obsessed. I am terrible at the highest level puzzles and admittedly cheat if needed but I love this book. Ordered the second book already. Love the challenge of the puzzles but some are impossibly harder than others…
Love the idea of Murdle (this is #1) in book format! Not only is this an ongoing emerging mystery story but also deduction puzzles (elementary, medium and hard boiled) to solve with clues such as people descriptions (right-handed, hazel eyes), locations (ancient ruins) and objects (decoder ring, piano wire). The author recommends using a grid and pencil for jotting down observations, following along with Detective Logico.
I am besotted with this new-found interest which prompted me to visit the Murdle website. The premise of the book is fantastic and it oozes wit and Clue/Agatha Christie vibes.
Though I worked through the first few puzzles on paper (with the help of hints in the back), it was challenging as the clue pictures/illustrations did not appear on Kindle format. I am dying (!) to complete the remainder in the physical version.
My sincere thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for providing me with an early digital copy of this engrossing puzzle book!

This was a lot of fun! Loved how the puzzles got harder throughout the book and liked the ongoing story too. The only thing I would have liked is a bit more variation in the puzzles!

I think this is the most fun puzzle book I've ever done. The comedy was gold, and it was sufficiently challenging.
Easily addictive and more than just a "Clue"-esque puzzle book. There is also a storyline imbedded in the cases, hints, and solutions- so make sure you check out those hints! (even if you've solved the puzzle without them).

I got this for my birthday this year, and in one day I did 30+ of the puzzles. I genuinely sat there from about 8am until 8pm doing these, I could not put it down. Immediately brought the second one as soon as I was done with this one. Absolutely brilliant, and so addictive.
