4.5 ⭐️ Though this was a heartbreaker, about loss and ptsd, it didn’t strike me as a 5 star read like so many others by KH. My favorite part of this book was the letter in the epilogue— it gave me chills! Highly recommend. Trigger warnings: ptsd and graphic war scenes.
This has been my least favorite Kristin Hannah book by far, as all of her others have been 5 star reads for me.

Couldn’t get past the husbands total lack of interest in his wife’s life. Let alone the snotty teenager. I wanted to rip through the pages to shake both of them.
