I loved Spoiler Alert and I’ve been patiently waiting for Alex’s story FOREVER. Alex was a Hero that was hard to stay mad at. He is impulsive but well intentioned, fiercely protective, and adoring. He and his impulsiveness get him into trouble with the director of his hit show so he is given a “baby sitter,” Lauren. Alex is a bit of a d-bag with Lauren, but his stubbornness eventually won me over.
I felt for Lauren. Being plus-size in the spotlight made her very untrusting and cautious to the public, while she seemed 100% at ease with herself privately. Her friendship with Alex was very much a slow burn, but once they got together I was metaphorically cheering from the stands. Alex was so open in his adoration, he was like a little puppy. Lauren was understandably cautious, but her character blossomed once she opened up.
I love that there were multiple deeper themes going on, all well written and worthy of discussion. Mental health and healthy support systems are so important in both All the Feels and life outside the pages.
All the Feels was a great follow up to Spoiler Alert and I’m hoping for more.
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the review copy!

From the moment Alex stepped onto the page of Spoiler Alert, I was hooked. I wanted to know more. And every hint the author gave of Lauren and Alex had me dreaming of a book about them. I anticipated this couple more than the original book's couple. And it was not disappointing.
Alex is such a sweetheart and despite his reputation and tendency to say more than he should or act before he thinks about consequences, his heart is always in the right place. He's goofy and unpredictable, but with a heart of gold. And I felt an instant connection with Lauren. She's used to being overlooked by many and mistreated by some. She has just left a job that she worked too long at the expense of her mental health. And, oh man, can I understand that. When she meets Alex, she's one of the first people to look further than what the public and the paparazzi see. And she cares. However, I would classify this story as a he falls first (unknowingly).
While Lauren recognizes that Alex is attractive, she is focused on the job at hand and how she can keep him out of trouble without compromising her integrity. Meanwhile, Alex is so focused on the "need" to know what she's thinking all the time and to keep her attention on him all the times. Even his best friend is very quickly aware of the fixation that Alex has on Lauren. This is a slow burn, because it takes quite a while for Lauren to acknowledge that she has feelings for Alex, let alone believe that it's possible for him to reciprocate. Also because Alex is somewhat oblivious to his own feelings until her cousin's words and actions spark his own public outburst, costing her her job. Their connection is so much more than anything physical and it's sweet to see them together even before there is any romance. As of this moment, they are my favorite couple from this series and I am a fan.
Would recommend. Would read again.

It’s fine. If Mexican Gothic is a decadent devils chocolate cake, dining out at a fine restaurant, this is like squirting whipped cream straight into your mouth from the can, fridge door still open. It meets a need but not recommended. Still, at least better than Wallbanger.

Alex is a famous TV star when one day, he gets caught up in a bar fight. With his career threatened, Lauren is tasked as his handler. Lauren is a plus sized, ex-ER therapist needing a break from the ER. The two develop a friendship into something more until another scandal puts Alex's career on the line. Lauren is served the tough choice of saving his career or sticking around in his life.
This was cute. The first half really dragged for me, though I wish we got more of Lauren being his handler. Once the book picked up, it became enjoyable. Lauren eventually learns to stick up for herself and it was just heartbreaking to see her absorb so much hate. I didn't really buy the chemistry between the two of them but it was a nice, feel good book.
