Eh. Maybe it's because it's been so long since I read this series, but I had barely any interest in anything that happened in this novella.

Beautifully written. The last words are very intriguing, can't wait Boundless.

I've been on the fence about my feelings about Angela — half the time I think maybe she's a good friend, but the other half of the time I'm thinking that we shouldn't trust her.

Enter Radiant...the story between [b:Hallowed|11563110|Hallowed (Unearthly, #2)|Cynthia Hand|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1332883896s/11563110.jpg|14532305] and [b:Boundless|13049981|Boundless (Unearthly, #3)|Cynthia Hand|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1342208984s/13049981.jpg|18214662] where we actually get to see inside Angela's head, since this novella switches POV between Clara and Angela.

This novella really made me question the friendship between the two. They are both not trusting of each other, and their levels of jealousy and muted animosity toward each other really shows.

It will be interesting to see where their friendship goes in Boundless (the next book on my TBR list). Especially after the events of this book. Because something happens that I think will come back to haunt them. And the end of this story leaves readers with a feeling that the worst is yet to come.

This novella takes place between the end of the second book and the beginning of the third. I recommend reading this before reading the third. This talks about Angela's secret boyfriend (mentioned briefly in books 1 & 2. The novella is Clara's and Angela's trip to Italy that isn't really covered in book 3, so I recommend reading this first. I liked it, it was interesting and short.

This is a short story that focuses on Angela and her love affair. It gives some insight on Angela but ultimately doesn't really add anything to the main story and not necessary to read in order to understand the books.

A short ebook novella that takes place between Hallowed and Boundless that tells the story of Clara and Angela’s summer in Italy before starting school at Stanford. Without reading this, readers may be confused by some of the events in Boundless but will figure out the details before the end of the trilogy. Definitely worth the read!

I was surprised by the fact that this short story is told by two POV's, as the books are usually told only by Claire's. I'm not a fan of Angela but it was nice to follow her and get inside her head for a bit. It's only a pity that we don't get to see more, there's a sort of loose end and it doesn't seem to actually move the story that much forward.
