A perfect ending to a perfect series. Oh my God, this series is a solid 5 stars all over. The plot, character development, stories behind each side character - pure perfection.

"You don't need to be gifted with a blade. You are your own best weapon."
It all began with a curse, which led to a crime and will resolve with a kiss.
The highly anticipated finale to the epic Winner's trilogy have arrived!
The author does not disappoint as she continues to take readers through a tale of the star crossed lovers, whom have found themselves amidst a war. I really did not have much expectations coming into this book beside Kestrel and Arin as an end game. Indeed it was; yet it was so much more that it blew me away with how the author's ability to spin this story.
Intricate fighting scenes marked the Winner's Kiss more action packed compared to the previous books. More's at stake.
True to its title, there's kissing; actually a lot of kissing. Warning you would be overwhelm with the love between Kestrel and Arin that your heart might explode. The inner fangirl inside of me jumped for joy. I have been waiting for this since my heart got broken in the Winner's Crime.
Their relationship turned a new leaf, especially with a psychological transformation of Kestrel. I don't want to reveal much, but it worked out well.
Trust placed a strain on their love before, but now it disappeared. In its place were cute comical bickering and bantering that simply made the inner fangirl in me very giddy.
Arin redeemed himself in the last book. A new side of him that charmed the heck out of me. No longer do readers get the cold hearted jerk, whom should be forgotten. In his place, a softer side of him, whom emotions.
Kestrel continues to be a total badass as always.
Aside from the romantic relationships, the author farther developed relations between Kestrel and her father, General Trajan. Readers do not have the fondest memories of this cold-hearted father. He might be an elite general, but obviously lacking in the world greatest father department. The author skillfully weaved in how strain these two are with each other. She does not disregard the important of family even in a state of war.
The Winner's trilogy became one of my favorite book series with the Winner's Kiss being my favorite book. Highly recommend reading this trilogy.
A beautiful conclusion to an amazing trilogy.

Marie Rutkoski has come so far, her writing has improved so much over the 3 books and I'm sooo glad I didn't stop the series after The Winner's Curse.
This book was much faster paced then the previous two, and a lot more exciting!

I am so so glad this book met my expectations for finishing this series. The authors writing is beautiful, I’m so captivated by her words, and the characters and emotion that goes into this book. The plot was so good, I really didn’t know what was going to happen or whether or not there would be a happy ending, this was an emotional rollercoaster for sure. And the ending left me feeling totally satisfied. So good.

I'm at a loss for words.
Wow.
So good.

Thoughts (Yes, I finished in a day)
Definitely one of the best trilogies I've ever read. Arin and Kestrel are the true definition of a messy, complicated relationship but that ending just made me smile.
Kestrel's parting line to her father - EPIC.
Roshar is my new favorite character. The sass!!!
Happy to see the prince got his happy ending.
I do hate comparing books but the plot line was similar to the Prison Healer trilogy in that the two fmc (won't mention who) ended up in prison and suffered so much.
There was a lot more strategy and warfare in The Winner's Kiss but the ANGST. Can't get enough of it.

I found the beginning of this book very interesting, but as soon as the two main characters were reunited it lost all of its' intrigue. The characters achieved everything way too easily and all of the high stakes were just abandoned for soppiness. Arin is a simp and it made It insufferable to read from his point of view. Maybe some people like that kind of romance but I couldn't stand how the only thought in his head was how in love he was with her and how he'd die/kill for her. Seriously it sounded like we were reading the point of view of a well trained dog who couldn't wait for his owner to come home. Which made things super uncomfortable considering she technically used to be.. his owner. Anyway, it just didn't feel well fleshed out, the end of the war was not at all climactic and they didn't address how they were going to reorganise the government now that the emperor was killed. If the prince decided to fake his death and run away then who's to stop anyone else from just taking the throne who has absolutely no empathy for their cause and just start the war again in a few years... As nice as it is to say happily ever after it just feels lame to end the series that way.
