3.5 AVERAGE

Todella teki mieli lukea.

I don't generally finish books that I'm not enjoying (which is why I don't rate anything super-low), so I enjoyed this enough to finish it, however, I'm ultimately disappointed in it. I'm going with 2 stars, but it's really closer to 2.5 stars for me.

I think that some of the elements of the plot and the characters are heavy-handed -- you see some things coming a mile away, but on the other hand, some things were completely glossed over.

And the end is like...like the author got tired of the story and just decided to hand in her short synopsis of what was really going on and oh, by the way, here's out it all turned out in the end, K, THX, BYE.

This was particularly disappointing because the premise was so interesting.

I didn't love this book...which was disappointing. I loved P.S. I love you and was looking forward to an equally entertaining book. However, I hated the main character, not likable at all. Also, I felt the characters were really inconsistent. I couldn't get a good feel for most of them because they were described in really contradictory ways. One minute her father is the best father ever, and in another he was terrible...I suppose this is probably how a teenager thinks, but it was a little to cliche in my mind. So, all in all, wouldn't recommend it...

I did see it coming but It was really good.

The pace was to slow for my liking...felt lit was meant for a younger age bracket that I couldn't find myself relating to this book

First judgments...I picked this book because of it's cover. :) It was so pretty and shiny in the store and my sis had mentioned it to me before, so I got it! I'm only about 20 pages in right now, but it's really not what I was expecting at all. But we'll see where it goes.

While the overall storyline was interesting, the beginning was tedious, maybe because there was quite a bit of explaining how the main character was a spoiled, self-centered rich girl who whined about everything. Granted - the author probably felt she needed to show where Tamara started and the story shows her growth. Still....tedious. At times I even thought that I might not want to finish.

Once I got through the first few chapters the story got more interesting and I actually felt it was engaging. I enjoyed the mystery around the characters and the process of uncovering the past. The role of the book/diary was an interesting injection of a bit of magic.

The ending also felt overly explained though there the author seemed to want to tie up all the loose ends. Maybe a bit more editing would have made it more effective.
medium-paced

Amazing story full of plot twists. This book holds a beautiful lesson: "There is always sun after rain and however our life seems to be hard, things will get better."
