Some good twists, but fairly predictable. Have always enjoyed Spindler's books. This one was good, but not up to her usual standard.

About a quarter into the book, I had figured out who really did it. I believe that the author had too many suspects...everyone the main character came across was a suspect. I also don't like the fact that a romance had to come into play. Over all it was a quick read for me and I enjoyed it.

Kat, after having been accused of murdering her sister ten years ago and leaving after being acquitted, returns home to bring justice to Sara.

I had an unusually hard time getting into this book, considering it was written by Erica Spindler. I just found Kat to be really naive, and just not all that likeable. Just... common sense was something she seriously lacked.

I did find myself liking Luke though, and while I'm glad there was an opened minded character, innocent until proven guilty and all that jazz, I find it a little hard to believe that he wasn't even a little suspicious that she'd "dunnit".

Overall, not one of her better books.

What a sad story with a fantastic end

Small town mystery with a heroine having a past and returning to the scene of the crime and finding the actual killer. I think there have been numerous novels with similar plot lines but I still love it, the small town charm, an old cranky neighbor, somehow I am happy reading them and makes me smile when I know that I have guessed right.

Read this under the title 'Don't look back', a brilliant book, couldn't put it down. An intriguing plot with plenty of twists. Like this author's books.

Another great book by Spindler! Kat was a rebellious teen trying to find her way after her parent's sudden death. Her sister, bludgeoned to death by her softball bat, needs justice. Kat is accused of the murder, but the case isn't that simple. Ten years after the murder, kat returns to find the killer, opening a can of worms. It turns out several people had motive, and it's up to kat and her hunky sheriff, Luke, to figure it out. This book twists and turns until the very end.

This book tells one story, looked at from different perspectives. It also skips back and forth between 2003 and 2013, to show what's going on in the present and what happened in the past.

The good thing about this book is that you really get to know the characters, especially since each chapter contains the thoughts of someone else involved in the story. It also shows you how each person thinks about the other characters.

I really liked the fact that you think you know who committed the murder, but then something makes you doubt their motive. I'm being honest when I say I had it wrong several times. (Also, for whoever wrote the review in which he/she states he/she knew who'd done it being at 20% of the book; I don't think that's even possible.)

Even though I liked this book, I have to say this book is a typical thirteen-in-a-dozen crime story. There have been many stories written similar to this one, so I can't say it's something new or creative. While reading, I had that feeling I used to get when I watched an episode of CSI on TV. It kept me interested and thinking until the end, but after finishing it I thought 'I should've known... it's never the obvious 5 people. It's always the 1 you don't (want to) think of at first.'

I'm giving it 3 stars, because it was a good story in its genre.

Sara, it's obvious who did it. Nevertheless I still enjoyed it.

I am a huge fan of all of Erica Spindler's books, but I have to say I think this one is her best yet! Full of suspense and surprises, it will keep you guessing until the very end. I was so riveted that I read it in one sitting. A must read for anyone who loves a good thriller.....
