I loved this story, it was a little different from the past couple of stories where they were reconnecting or had a rocky past and found each other again. This story was so good because it is something a lot of people don’t talk about which is being in love young, but feeling like you need to try other things before settling down and not realizing how that past can affect your present. Leslie and Trent’s story was so cute to read and reading through them overcoming things made it that much greater.

Another great book in the Brighton High School Reunion series.... I am loving every moment, reading about these characters and their friends. Seeing how things change over time, and sometimes don't change at all.

This one, as a mom of 2, definitely hit 'home'. I was always trying to be perfect at everything, making sure I did all the things for the kids, never wanting to say no to anything. Leslie is me, 20 years ago, yes I'm old.. lol

You are going to love every minute of this one, hold on, it's a great story with even greater characters.

Faking Perfection is the third book in the Brighton High School reunion, shared world series.

I have mixed feelings about this one (nothing bad though). It was too raw and too real for me. Leslie was such a relatable character. She brought up the same anxieties and worries that I personally would go through if I was invited to my own reunion...(minus the whole hot, star quarterback husband). I think the reunion itself was the best part of the whole Story. It reminded myself that it's okay to be in the place you are at. Although, you aren't doing what everyone expected you to do, it's still a good life and you should live in the moment.

I am so loving this shared world so much!

I'm pretty sure had I actually gone to my high school reunion it would have been much like this. High school was rough. And now I'm a mom of three with not much life outside of my kids. My body is different. My mind is different. And I'm still married to a high school heartthrob. I totally related to the Leslie in this book. It was a nice easy, relatable read!

I loved this book. I really enjoyed that this book was so open about Leslie and Trent's struggles. Marriage can be hard, and this book really spotlighted that. They worked through it together and made their relationship stronger. There is a pressure in our society today to always put on a good face and keep your problems to yourself. Nobody is perfect. I loved that Trent helped Leslie realize that being a stay-at-home mom doesn't mean she didn't do anything with her life. Being a stay-at-home mom is hard because it is a job that you can't clock out of. I'm glad he made her realize that and made her understand that she doesn't have to be involved in things that she doesn't enjoy just because people expect it of her, and she needs to focus on her own needs and her family's needs and not what society expects. Leslie's growth in this book is amazing. That she needs to focus on herself. This book really needs to be more hyped because unlike other romances this one to me feels more real and has a lot less fluff. What a great addition to this series.

Cute Story

This story really resonates with being a stay at home mom. How it feels, the expectations we implement on ourselves. He ups and downs of being married while having kids. So much of this is very real and not extremely fictional. I enjoyed the story and I am SO GLAD that it never steered towards cheating or he couple breaking up. It was a wonderful story of hoe sometimes, all you need is just a break away from responsibilities for just a little bit to rekindle and reconsider your own needs.

I absolutely loved this story. As a stay at home mom I can relate soo much! This story was real and raw and just totally amazing!! The writing was impeccable and the characters are so real! The struggle of trying to be the perfect parent, and trying to be what everyone needs you to be is something I have also struggled with, so to read about another person even one who's not real (lol) who has been where I am.. it was so awesone!

This is the third book in the Brighton High School Reunion series with each book written by different authors.

Leslie and Trent are the couple featured in this book. It is told from Leslie's POV with flashbacks and tells of her inner turmoil of being told she has the perfect life and being the perfect person but feeling as though that's a complete lie. There is spice in this book, and although it starts late on, it is really steamy. It is not what I would typically read. However, I was pleasantly surprised, and I will definitely be adding Shayna to my TBR. There are some mentions of self-esteem and related issues, so please check your TW before reading.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to read this as an ARC.

Love, love love this story. Part of the Brighton High School Reunion series, I have to say it's my favorite so far. Leslie and Trent are so relatable. Ten years post high school, 3 kids, jobs, mom-ing, looking like you have it all together but suffering quietly on the inside. This was Leslie. Her marriage had lost it's spark, she felt less than, and Trent was frustrated.

Nerves erupt as they head to the reunion because Leslie feels inadequate. Old flames are around, too. But true to fashion, if you love eachother hard enough and work on it, you can rekindle the flame and bring it all back.

Spice was nice and story was great.
