The third book in the Shetland series and I enjoyed this more than the others. Maybe I am getting to know the characters and Ann Cleeves’ style.  An interesting one lit that had some twists that kept me engaged.

Another strong crime thriller from Ann Cleeves, this time very close to home for Sandy, one of the detectives when Mima, his grandmother, meets a sticky end. Throwbacks to World War II and even to the times of the Hanseatic League give this a strong historical feel. Very much enjoyed.
