A different point of view

Very good, a nice blend of the movies from a different perspective. A great look at how the mindset of good people fighting on different sides handle and try to reason with unnecessary acts of war in the name of honor or principal

This book surprised me with its depth of emotion and character growth, but it didn’t quite stick the landing. Was this mostly Star Wars fan service? YUP. But I think it was done well and with much thought. The ending really bugged me, though. Made me care about both main characters a lot less than I had previously. Would not recommend at all if you don’t love Star Wars.

I really loved following both their stories as they diverged and saw the dame moment through different eyes. The way it was set up i didn’t think it would go in the way it did in the beginning.
Although i liked the main characters a lot, sometimes the supporting characters made it a little bit hard for me to follow, or care for them in the way i think we were intended to

Really three and a half stars: I liked the story and the characters a lot, but was continually thrown out by all the sly nods and references to the films. (Really, does every important side character from the original trilogy have to appear?) I'd happily read a sequel, though.

So maybe I'm becoming a Star Wars junkie. You can judge. But I'll keep reading.

As far as Star Wars books go, this one was better-written than A New Dawn. It was really fun to look at the events of the original trilogy through the eyes of two Imperial pilots (one of whom defects to the Rebellion). By no means a literary masterpiece, and I wouldn't recommend it to the average reader, but I think most Star Wars fans would like this slightly steamy YA romance version of things.
