siamo nuovamente live con cose che eli fa leggere a lu!!!

this sure was published in 2006 lmaooo the style of the whole thing is very delightfully 2000s and definitely grew on me over the course of the first volume.

multiple people online said this was the series to read after tbhk, and I have burned tbhk onto the back of my brain 700 times over so I figured I’d check this out lol. I’m usually put off by alice in wonderland retellings,  but this seems more just inspired by it. I still don’t love that aspect of it, but it doesn’t feel corporate disney machine. it’s definitely a little ~edgy~ but in a way that’s mostly endearing lol.

and the people online were right, it has captivated me with tragedy and lore and puzzles and melancholic mystery and unhinged characters lol, I already see the tbhk similarities. and I’m excited to keep reading bc this series is finished!!!! so I’ll get answers!!!! what a treat lol. I also like that they give you one (seemingly) obvious mystery bc there are a lot of factions and mysteries to keep up with so it feels nice to have one little easy one lol. (unless they’re all obvious and I’m dumb but oh well I’m having fun lol) also at multiple points characters get overwhelmed by feelings they don’t understand and I love that. incredibly sweet and emotional.

and SO gay right off the bat. I did google a little and tragically it will never be canonically gay but at least I’m used to that 🤪 truly tho what is in so many supernatural/fantasy adventure writers’ coffee that makes them all write “friendships” that are SO romantic?? it’s so baffling. am I the problem? do I need to embrace platonic undying devotion and pining and yearning? do I need to wistfully fantasize about my friends’ golden eyes more often?? much to think about.

anyway fun silly time sad time excited to keep reading lol

~3.5/5

I kind of can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get to this series. It seems like everyone online is already in love with it, and I’ve heard so many good things. I almost picked it up years ago, but then never did, and then the higher price put me off. But now, I’m finally starting it.

I was expecting this to start at least somewhat slowly, so I don’t mind that. I’m not fully drawn in yet. Mostly, I’m curious. I’m still not quite sure what is going on with Oz, and while I have an idea, I’m intrigued by Alice. We met quite a few other characters, and I want to get to know them, but haven’t really got a sense for who they are yet.

The art work is very pretty, for sure. The humor is there, though not brought to the forefront yet, and I’m sure that’ll get better with time.

Overall, a pretty good beginning. I’m intrigued, and already looking forward to the next one. I know I’m going to fall in love with this series, so I can’t wait for that to happen.

話はアニメと同じです。次の巻を楽しみにします。

日本語の言葉がまだまだたくさん分からなくて、辞書を引いて読むのがとても遅かったです。でも、もう一度日本語で読み始めてよかったです。

Okay so I rather did not add manga to my list here, sure I have read more than only Pandora Hearts but if you want to view that list I direct you to:

Anyway I have tried to do the Ultimate Reading Challenge and for that you have to read a Graphic Novel, well I could have read Twilight's Graphic Novel, which I got for free once when I bought a book in London. Anyway I decided not to, I talked to an old friend and thanks to him we came to the subject of Pandora Hearts, which has the most confusing and weird anime I've ever seen but I've never read the manga, but here I did. Because I actually was still interested for the answers.

So this volume and review stands for all of them. I'm not going to click on more. But damn this is one of the best manga that I've read together with Arisa, also this is the manga with the most chapters that I read 107. But all totally worth it, especially when you are away from the anime section and you are finally getting answers. I have to be honest: I kept a notebook with the plot twists and things I wanted to remember because at one point there are only plot twists, so bravo for those who can keep up with everything. I even recommended it to that friend and to another one. I couldn't stop talking about it to my boyfriend and he showed some interest, I bet he had no idea what I talked about.

Yes I shed a few tears for the three deaths that were in there. I bit my nails when the flashbacks came and finally everything was explained. It was really a great story. If I didn't hate reading Manga on a computer so much, and if I have more money: I might buy everything from this series because hell yeah that's possible in my country, thank the Godess.

But yeah this one was great.
