This was an amazing read!!! The story from beginning to end was perfection!!!Wow just wow!!!
I didn't know what to expect when I first stated reading this story and page by page this book captivated me and I just couldn't let go. I finished this book in one sitting.
Lex and Carter were just perfection for each other. Two really good people but with broken souls. They both had really bad things happening to them and so when they found each other for the first time they were able to spark something they thought it wasn't meant for them.
After a very perfect night they both part ways never thinking they'll see each other again but everything changes the next day when Lex is face to face with her new boss Carter. And from there prepare yourself for a wild ride because this book has all the feels, the drama, the passion and the surprises we see chapter after chapter.

The Estate is the first book I've read by Ivy Wild but I am looking forward to reading more.
Parts of the book were a little slow, but overall I think it had a very good pace. I certainly couldn't put it down at times. This book was unique because some chapters were from other characters' POV.
I enjoyed that this had a bit of a mystery to it so it was more than just a romance. The villains were written so well that I instantly hated them.
Joe Arden and CJ Bloom did a fantastic job bringing the tory to life.

CJ Bloom & Joe Arden teamed up to deliver an absolute epic performance. Joe Arden nailed the bossy dominant side of Carter & absolutely brought him to life. CJ Bloom has a beautiful cadence to her voice, lending it to capture the moments of vulnerability and perfection that was Alexandra Evans. These two nailed every sizzling moment of chemistry between Carter & Lex! They nailed the villians in the best way! They are truly a powerhouse duo of narrators and I am already looking forward to book 2 in this series from this talented author!

The Estate was simply exquisite. I loved that this was not a slow burn romance. Lex and Carter were simply meant to be and Ivy did not hold back from that. The ex-wife Candy was slimy in just the right way. Jumping between timelines and points of view kept the story engaging. The twists and turns Ivy dropped throughout the story also kept me on my toes!
CJ Bloom and Joe Arden both embody not only Lex and Carter well, but the other characters too. The duet narration was lovely and the individual attention that went to each character from CJ and Joe was noted and appreciated. This book is a definite win and must listen for the summer.

This book pulled me in from the very first line—beautifully written, emotionally rich, and so vividly told. Ivy Wild crafts a world of pain, healing, and fierce connection as we follow Carter Ross and Alexandra (Lex) Evans—two wounded souls shaped by betrayal, loss, and survival. Their chemistry is instant, and their bond only deepens. The romance is fiery, the emotions are raw, and the character growth is incredibly satisfying. Oh—and if you’re into cars, you’re in for a treat.
The narration is truly next-level. CJ Bloom is Lex—strong, sharp, loving, and full of fire. She nails every layer of the character and makes Lex’s legal mind and emotional strength really shine. Joe Arden, as always, was the perfect Carter—capturing his anger, grief, and that softer side that only Lex gets to see. His performance is so immersive, I forgot I was listening to a narrator.
Together, CJ and Joe are one of my favorite duet pairings ever. Their chemistry is unreal, and it brings the story to life in the best way.
5/5 stars. Do not sleep on this series—I can’t wait for Book 2!

My thoughts:
I really enjoyed “The Estate”! I usually don’t go for a boss/employee romance, but this one was very intriguing.
Both Lex and Carter are very flawed and broken characters, who find love and acceptance together. There is a line in the movie “Elizabethtown” where Claire (played by Kirsten Dunst) says that she and Drew are “placeholder people”, and that is the vibe of both Lex and Carter. They have felt like “placeholder people” their whole lives, but once they found each other, they didn’t feel that way anymore. Lex and Carter have a real chemistry that makes this book fun and interesting.
I was really loving the multiple POVs that Ivy Wild gave us in this book! Usually in a romance, we only get the POVs from the main characters. “The Estate” not only does that, but we also get the POVs of the villains of the story. We learn their motivations and thoughts, which does not make them sympathetic at all, but it gives a fun little twist to the formula! I really enjoyed that.
CJ Bloom does an amazing job bringing the FMCs she performs to life, and Lex is no different. She portrayed Lex with the sassy and wit she needed, while also making her vulnerable and kind. Joe Arden did a fantastic job with Carter as well. Carter is hard and closed off, but with Lex his sweetness and longing to be loved and cared for really shines through. Joe Arden does that beautifully.
Overall, “The Estate” was a great listen and read, and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a fun but intriguing read!!
Ivy did it again with this one!! Woo man Carter Ross is to die for! He will have you swooning and everything. And Alex you will wish you were her! CJ and Joe killed the audio! 10/10 recommend an easy 5star for me! I loved and devoured every single second of it. Run don't walk seriously
