This was a pretty good holiday read. I did a mix of digital and audio and enjoyed the writing in general.

It's not exactly a second chance because they weren't previously together but there's a long history of pining that feels like it. I'm interested in reading the other book about the FMC's friends 👀

Wrapped up my holiday reads this week with this fun brothers best friend romance. Lena and Gavin have been pining for each other for 10 years and this Christmas season finally gets them to give in and explore their feelings. I loved the entire family and there were plenty of holiday activities to really make the book feel like Christmas. The spice got to be a bit too much at times, like one encounter spanning multiple chapters but I don't think it was so much that it took away from their connection that wasn't focused on the physical. The two epilogues really made the story for me and seeing where they ended up.

Lena wasn't supposed to come home for Christmas, but when plans changed, she made the last minute trip only to find that Gavin, her older brother's friend who disappeared years ago, is also there. Lena has always been drawn to how charming Gavin is, and Gavin has been dreaming of Lena since he left town.

This book was cute, sweet, and a little spicy. Infact, it would probably be a great book for someone who doesn't usually read spicy things and is wanting to dip their toe in deeper water. Honestly, I was a little put off by everyone's grumpiness at first, but thankfully that settled down fast. I feel like Lena and Gavin related to each other because of Gavin's upbringing and Lena feeling like she sometimes doesn't belong in her family, but these two join together for their own happy ending, which I loved. Especially the epilogue. Also, shout-out to Daniel Craig Bond fans. Makes me want to watch Casino Royale and Skyfall real bad.

Samantha Brentmoor is flawless as always. I could listen to her all day everyday.I believe this is my first book read by Patrick Zeller. He was also great! I hope to hear more of him in the future.

THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You know how to do the macarena, love guys that take care of their woman, and cute holiday stories with some spice.
