An intriguing story about the election of a new Pope - the secrets of the Cardinals sequestered in the Conclave are a good hook for the tense parts of the story!
reading it after watching the movie felt like getting a more intimate perspective of lomeli's mind. a bit disappointed on the ending tho, benitez' speech didn't feel as grand as the author would like us to believe so it felt off that most cardinals voted for him instead of sticking w lomeli in the end.

Thought I knew what was going to happen. Was wrong. Thoroughly enjoyed the suspended filled book.
I feel maternal towards the pope. Oh god it's like on letterboxd where U give the movie a certain star rating but you give it a heart anyway because it means so much to you. BenÃtez is my son and his relationship with god makes me feel so many things I actually did cry .
