Wow. This really was a great .5. It should have been a regular book but I understand why it wasn't. The only complaint for me, it wasn't looking enough. I didn't want it to end. It was so nice seeing it from Reyes' point of view. And there was stuff in the book I wondered about in the regular series and it was answered in this and now I'm wondering about Ubie. And just omg, such a good book.

While I am absolutely obsessed with Charley this book was all Reyes and all heartbreak! Every chapter wrenched my heart in the worst way. I might need to reread the whole series again because there is some stuff I can't remember. If you want a deeper look into Reyes' tough life I say read it, if you can't stand heartbreak I say leave this one out, you won't be missing any new info.

Reading from Reye's POV never gets old. I would literally re-read the entire series just to see it from his eyes. Amazing!

How the 'other side of the story' should be written.

As if my heart did not already belong to the broken Reyes who seeks the light of his life, the quirky Charley. Definite must read for those who are into the series!

In this book we see things from Reyes point of view. We follow him from childhood up until the First Grave On the Right. It's glimpses into horrific childhood and his connection to Charley Davidson.

I highly recommend this book of short stories and the whole Charley Davidson series.

Audio book review.

I waited to read this until after completing the 13 book series. Definitely a great additional to the story as a whole! I was always a bit muddled at Reyes and his motivations early on in their relationship. It's not astounding, but very good. And I'm glad she didn't go into much detail regarding Walker and the disgusting torture. THANK YOU! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for one additional layer to add to this awesome universe.
