this wasn’t it for me. i was bored, i didn’t care, and i didn’t understand. it reminds me of a mix of Belladonna, Fairy Tale, and Mexican Gothic. I gave all of those three stars or less so i guess it’s not surprise this wasn’t really my cup of tea. i did give some major points for writing style though. the writing itself is beautiful and could’ve been incredibly compelling if it had been accompanied by a more developed plot.

this book had great potential but it failed to really convince me. It took me 2/3rds of the book to actually feel invested in the story. Olivia as a main character felt a bit bland. I think the Vilain should have been introduced earlier, convincing Olivia to go to the other side of the wall. Because this happened so late it the story the ending felt very abrupt in my opinion.
