50 Book Reading Challenge 2015: A book at the bottom of your to-read list

This one was on the bottom for a reason it turned out. I had such high hopes for this one but it did not deliver. It was a strange story that whose premise was good, but delivery left something to be desired. Worth a read if you're looking for something light with not much significance. Kind of disappointing, especially since I saved it for so long to read.

Favorite part so far. When her friend Sydney drives the cowboys vintage car. And he screams like a girl. Man, I laughed so hard... I cried.

This was a good "fluff" read that by it's sheer informal dialoge kept me turning the page. A great read for our current pop culture junkies, it also had that timeless story of how sometimes the person that irritates us the most is actually the one we are most attracted to. Plus, who among us hasn't come up with a hair brained idea like cinnamon milk?

I picked up this book while in a hospital in late 2017, but was discharged halfway through reading it. I finally found it for 25ยข at a Goodwill and finished it in January 2019. It was fluff, but decently written fluff. The author was self-aware of the similarities with Nick Hornby's High Fidelity, which made it tolerable. There will probably be some times that you get ticked off by a plot twist, but keep reading.

Heaven and Brady do not think they were made for each other. If they had their wishes, they would not even live in the same building in NYC. However, it is apparent that fate has other intentions for them. Otherwise would they keep tripping over each other?

There is a lot about music, PR and New York in this book. I don't know much about those subjects, but this book was an introduction for me. It was also great for this 54 year old to see how 20 somethings may perceive the world. I realize this is fiction, but it appears that Crane may know what she is talking about.

This was fun. I did not have to do much thinking, it moved quickly and I became involved enough that I wanted to see Brady and Heaven get together in the end. You many ask if they did, but you will have to read the book to see.

Absolutely petty, predictable, stupid and silly. But I smiled as I finished it. Great beach read.

I really enjoyed this one! A funny and witty book, like I haven't read in a while, and it made me laugh many times. I liked how the chapters were alternately written from Heaven's and Brady's point of view. I especially liked the chapters where they commented on the same thing. Brady and Heaven come across like 'real' people, more than I often find is the case in other books. I liked how they are completely honest about all their own quirky habits. A great read, and I found it quite different (in a good way!) from many other chicklit.
