The Patron is the first book in the Broken Slipper Trilogy. I loved this book so much! This book is told from Kaia and Calum's perspectives.

Kaia is a ballet dancer who also works as a strip club. She's not suppose to work at the strip club due to her ballet. Her father treats her like crap and adores her sister. So she's doing whatever she can to pay him back. She ends up meeting Calum at the strip club and he wants to be her Patron. Where she has to show up and do what he says whenever he wants.

When she is auditioning for the ballet company she wants to work for she learns that Calum is the director there. Calum is a twisted broken billionaire of a tech company. He got hurt in his ballet career and doesn't really want anything to do with it, until he meets Kaia.

This book had me hooked from the beginning to the very end. Some major things happened right at the end, and I'm curious to see what happens next. I want to know what happens between Kaia and Calum. What happens with some other ballet dancers when they wanted something from Calum. What happens with her dad?

This book was amazing. I can't wait for the next one in the series. This was my first book I read about ballet dancers and I really enjoyed it!

I've never read a book quite like this one. I loved the ballet side of it, that's not something I read very often but I was really drawn to it. An easy read that will keep you hooked!

Vivian Wood is a new to me author, and I’m kicking myself for that being a fact! I mean I don’t know what I was waiting for! She has written a suspenseful, steamy story of two absolutely broken people and the beginning of their journey.

This is the first book in a trilogy, so you all know what that means, yep we have a cliffhanger ladies and gents, but not to fear Book 2 The Dancer will be out soon. I also want you to be aware that this is a dark story with possible triggers for some.

Callum is a character that hides his vulnerability by pretending to be a heartless alphahole, until he meets Kaia and his life is forever changed. This is a dark, gritty unconventional romance and it is going to suck you in until you finish it. I really loved the direction that this story is going and I can not wait for book 2 to see what happens.
