The Patron was an amazing read from start to finish. Vivian Wood created an intriguing book set in the world of ballet and dancing.

Kaia is a talented ballet dancer who is living a ballet dancer’s dream by dancing for the New York Ballet Academy. However, studying and dancing there comes with strings that she wishes she never had to live with. In order to try and get out from under her father’s rule/thumb she goes against the rules of NYB and dances in a strip club at night.

When her two worlds collide one night, she never anticipates developing feelings for her Patron. Callum is a billionaire who is an ex-ballet dancer who now runs and owns IndicaTech. When Callum is given the opportunity to direct the spring productions for the NYB he jumps at the chance to immerse himself back in the world he once loved.

This book has so many twists and turns and ends on one hell of a cliffhanger but I can’t recommend it enough. It was incredible and I can’t wait to read what happens next!

Okay - for a book that
doesn't have the main couple sleep together until the 90% mark
this was completely sensual & erotic.

I picked this up for free on Amazon (as of Dec 29, 2021) and the story really captivated me from the get-go, making me overlook things that usually turn me off - like cliffhanger endings & grammatical/spelling errors!

Both leads come with A LOT of baggage that allow sparks to fly while they're on a collision course towards disaster.

I don't know her very well at all, but I'm starting to get two things about her. She lacks self-confidence and she really has low expectations for how she should be treated.

I'm itching to see where the story goes!

So steamy!! I loved this book so much.
The Patron has been on my TBR for forever and I'm so glad that I decided to pick it up.
I can't wat to see how this series plays out because that ending made my heart hurt for Kaia and Calum.

How much did I love this book?! I love so much a good ballerina romance. Calum is this jerk of a guy. Whatever he wants he gets no matter the price. Calum enjoys a good stripper , a way to for him to relax without all the strings attached until he watches this beautiful girl who he suspects has ballerina training. She has all the moves, graceful, sharp and her moves are so hot! He falls for her. Kaia whole life is being a ballerina but not what she wants but what is demanded of her . Oh her father is soooo bad, oh man i hated him. He is only after 1 thing. Kaia knows what she has to do , oh the feelings I have for her and all the hard work she goes thru. What Calum does is redee m himself well sort of lol! Oh the hottness between these two. So loved this book and can't wait to see what happens.

The plot was interesting, especially the ballerina/stripper thing going on. But, the book and events felt somewhat inconsistent and Callum was just a controlling, mean red flag for me. It felt like he only liked Kaia for her looks and experience as a ballerina. Kaia was quite boring too. The book ended on a cliffhanger, though I don't think I'll be reading the rest of the trilogy.

Center Stage and 50 Shades Mash-Up

If Center Stage and 50 Shades mashed up you would get this story... so far at least. I was not expecting the ending at all, I thought whatever Honor would bring to Callum he would be able to destroy... I'm glad this was only book 1 because I would have felt the relationship between Kaia and Callum to be forced and not quite natural but I'm excited to see how they evolve in the coming books.
