I remember reading this book all of the time when I was in the 1st or 2nd grade.
We don't own this book. We need to. My parents have it and this book was requested for naps and bedtime basically every day for the two weeks that we were visiting. It's a winner.
This book is a childhood favourite, and after finding it again after so many years, I still loved it. Yes, as an adult, I still love this book.
To the tree, to the tree! A book you will read over and over again with your kids!
One of my favourite books from childhood. So glad to have found it ebook form. I need to buy a physical copy.
To this day I still remember "Do you like my hat?" "No I do not."
To this day I still remember "Do you like my hat?" "No I do not."
I picked this book up at the salvation army last weekend! This was the first book I ever read on my own, so when I found it I had to bring it home. It was a little scuffed up and had the sticker on the spine, but over all in good shape. After a little cleaning up I sat down and read it. I was surprised at how long it was and how much I remembered and forgot. Still I was instantly taken back to the age of 4 or 5 and sitting on the brown sectional sofa in our living room as I read the words out loud to myself. After I finished I rushed into the kitchen and proudly told my mother what I had done. I can't remember her reaction, but I think she was in the middle of something at the time. I don't have her anymore, but now I have this book and each time I look at it I will remember that evening from my childhood and a moment in time with my mother.
My favorite book as a child. I learned to read with it and still have fond memories to this day thinking about how much I loved it.
It's been how many years since I've read this book and I can still remember:
"Do you like my hat?"
"No, I do not like your hat."
"Goodbye then."
"Goodbye."
"Do you like my hat?"
"No, I do not like your hat."
"Goodbye then."
"Goodbye."
I remember reading this book with my sister and my grandmother...Now I read this book to my kiddos all the damn time. Yes, it belongs in my goodreads. It's a good fucking read and one of the reason I love fucking reading.
First book I ever read by myself, so of course I have to read it to my daughter.
