Go, Dog. Go!

P.D. Eastman

This was my absolute favorite book as a child, and I really enjoyed having the chance to read it again. All of the illustrations are still so familiar to me! This book is one of my favorite picture books.

A book both my children loved when first learning to read on their own is Go, Dog. Go! by PD Eastman. It's an opposites in the style of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss.

Here and there are dogs in cars and they must go, go, go! As they go there are many different opposites and colors and other basic things to learn and read about.

The dogs being in race cars of different colors made both my children laugh. With all the off the wall illustrations and word combinations, the book does pull together into a coherent plot with a beginning, middle and end.

A great book for beginning readers and for catching the attention of little ones.

a fun book for colors and numbers.

wow! what a read this was! simply could not put it down and ended up reading it all in one sitting due to the gripping plot, and excellent character development. truly a timeless tale of adventure, devotion, and getting by in this crazy thing we call life. would recommend to friend and stranger alike.

Things with wheels + dogs + climbing + jumping + splashing + digging + flying = little boys.

An awesome read-aloud story and one of the kid's favorite's.... Oh, and did I mention hats? All kinds of hats.

Lastly, beware of backseat drivers in car seats telling you to "STOP!".

Loved this book as a child and love reading it to my children:)

A great book for teaching your children colors, the difference between up and down, day and night, stop and go, and much more.

It's a quick read, and sure to be a childhood favorite.

This is the first book I ever read on my own! A classic.

Shocking no one, this book was and is a vital part of who I am as a person.

The breadth of human emotion the riveting story pulls the reader through; the stunning and energetic imagery; the profound sense of forward motion and evolution; this is a book that truly transcends what books can be.

It was also my favorite book as a child that my dad would read out loud to me, so I may be slightly biased with my interpretation of this (otherwise inarguable) masterpiece.
