Awesome, but maybe I just like clever books about vampires.
I HATED almost all the characters not named Jody. Tommy is a vile adolescent-acting prick who basically touches his vampire gf when she's passed out or puts her in a freezer to go on a date with another woman. Why isn't he dead? This is NO love story and the author insults all his women readers by keeping them together at the end. Horrible story. Horrible writing.
It was okay. I mean there were some funny parts, but I don't know if this guy is my jam for comedy. Anyway. . .

This is the first Christopher Moore book I've read. I think there are other books of his that would likely be a better introduction to his writing. I found the narrative a bit uninspired, but still entertaining.
This book is actually pretty terrible for its blandness and boringness. I'm surprised and disappointed after looking forward to reading Christopher Moore for so long. Maybe I'm being so harsh because I had high expectations.
While I feel like Christopher Moore would be a cool guy to hang out with, his writing style is leaving me with much to be desired. The metaphors Moore uses in this novel actually make me cringe. It's a shame because if he wasn't trying so hard this book would be a fun read.
I hated this so much I didn't even bother finishing it. The writing style pissed me off too much.
