Even though this book took me a billion years to finish , I LOVE THIS BOOK WITH ALL OF MY HEART AND WOULD DIE FOR ALL OF THESE CHARACTERS JDJSNDNDNDN
they are all just so rich with personality and they each have such complex storylines, and I need to read the next one so bad

I don't buy into hype very often, but damn this was pretty good. I was really surprised, and I'm glad I took a chance on it. It wasn't what I thought it would be, perhaps because the only reviews I had ever read or seen just gushed over it without really explaining any plot or substance at all, but this was a really excellent and fun read with some interesting twists and turns and really great characters.

Wow, this is some ride! There are numerous supernatural features woven together with ancient legends and a bit of teenage life. The story was intriguing... a gradual build-up to a fast-paced and thrilling conclusion. The ending leaves clear places for a second book to pick up, which I can't wait to read.

I've read this book three times now. I definitely needed it again this time in a way I don't think I've ever needed any other book. The first time I read this book, I wished for my own raven boys. The third time I realized that I already have them, in a way. At a crossroads in my writing life, this book reintroduced me to magic that doesn't have rules but magic that just is—truth. This is the perfect book.

this was great, I enjoyed the slow burn of the character's getting to know each other and generally found the writing really insightful. a pleasure.

Did I binge read this because I'm crazy? Yes.

I read this when I was in high school, maybe 7 years ago and it absolutely still holds up. There's a lot to love about this book but the main thing is the fun cast of characters and their relationships. From Blue's sarcasm, to Gansey's earnestness, to Adam's independence and Ronan's Ronan-ness, all the characters are engaging to follow. While some are more central to the plot, all of the characters are compelling.

The vibes? Absolutely immaculate. I love the witchy Southern gothic atmosphere and the Stranger Things-esqe bilsdungroman story. I do think the ending is a bit abrrupt and doesn't have as much build up as I would've liked, but that's pretty minor when Stiefvater has created a story full of mystery. I vaguely remember the Dream Thieves being better when I read them last, so I'm eager to read that next.

I'm not sure what I think of this book; I like it better than SHIVER, but not as well as LAMENT. It takes a while to get going and then it really goes.
