This isn't a normal genre for me (Romance), but I enjoyed it and it is very different from what I have been reading, so it was kind of a break.

Tess McPhail, a famous country singing star, returned to her hometown, Wintergreen, MO, to help mother recuperate from hip surgery. She came back kicking and screaming, because her small town life didn't appeal to her anymore. Little did she know that she would come face-to-face with a next-door neighbor that she despised for being a nerd when they attended high school.

I could not really finish this book. Stopped at 25% and skipped to the last chapter. That wedding...oh boy. Talk about wish fulfillment. Almost insulting.

Sometimes all you need is a sappy love story and this is one of them! Loved all the characters, even Judy, lol ( we all have a Judy in one form or another )

This is interesting. It's an average book, but I liked a few things about it:

- The nails. The earrings. The nickname.

- The plastic doily. The steps. The beds.

- The small details, like the fact that Mac once has to go around the car.

- The 'I was trying to cop a feel' statement.

- The long-lasting crush.

- The character growing.

- The Nashville bit.

- Casey and Mary.

- Renee.

- Judy, even.

- Kenny's helpfulness.

- "Cattin'"

Otherwise… good! Read other reviews. Mine makes no sense, but if you like this sort of book, go for it!
