I liked this book a lot it did bore me real bad in the beginning and the middle but i ended up enjoying it at the ending i debated wether giving it a 3 or 4 star it was a good book i loved the story i just think some parts were rushed and some were to slow but i love Evelina and Nicholas and so far in the Never After Series my opinion is i feel
1 is Scarred an Twisted
2 is Hooked and
3 is Wretched
I can't wait to read the rest of the series and if you don't know the Never After Series it's pretty much a Disney retelling series where the villains get the happy endings Hooked was Peter Pan Scarred was The Lion King and Wretched is the Wizard Of Oz overall i rated this book 4 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😁😁😁😍😍😍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved seeing a female villain as unhinged as Evelina! She knew she was crazy and she embraced it. The slow burn development of love between her and Nick/Brayden was really well done and I loved the ending of their story!!

Emily McIntire does it again.  I can't wait to read Twisted when it comes out.

my first dark romance, 5 stars. this was so good, not only because of the really compelling remix of the wizard of oz, but also because the sex scenes were THAT good. i will be reading the rest of this series promptly

once upon a time, shannon got very obsessed very quickly with dark romance fairytale retellings, and basically fell down the rabbit hole into the lovely emily mcintere’s trap ✨

AND THE REST IS HISTORY

I’m in love with this entire series!! I don’t think anything can top hooked, but emily is so so creative with the way that she brings in subtle but noticeable details from the original stories and makes them fit into her own storyline SO perfectly.

and while I’m a sucker for a bad boy trope, I’m turning to the dark side of badass I’ll literally kill you females, such as evie 😍😍

in this wicked witch retelling, I devoured this book in basically a day because I just had to know how it ended! the way these characters were brought and adapted for the darker modern world was just so remarkable - I swear, I’ll shut up about it someday - and intriguing to read!!

this one was a bit more predictable and slower paced than the others in the series, but I still read it cover to cover with so much investment 🫢

If it wasn’t for the smut, it wouldn’t be worth reading. While an interesting idea, the fractured (more like shattered) telling of the Wizard of Oz could use some character development.
I appreciated the idea of the female m/c being the true villain, however the entire book is predictable and nothing new.
