truly i loved the main girl I think her demeanor is something that is more apparent more in like gen z yet not really shown at lot???
the whole feminism thing was kinda tough for me to digest, I think bc that word has such a weird history and hostility to it,, so I kinda enjoyed that they were tryna flip that
the rom com was slay and fun and what I signed up for

all i have to say is that Len is the love of my life
Right at the beginning you get the vibe of the character, headstrong, purposeful, confident in their skills and knows what they want. Like the title says, they are not here to be liked. The obstacles the main character faces are realistic, and any reader (female or otherwise) could identify with the struggles and challenges from the other characters. This book makes you feel related to, heard, and frustrated with the patriarchy.
This was a good book and worth the read.

Eliza’s principle kinda… irritating but her love life with Len somehow cute.

This honestly really resonated with me, Eliza reminded me so much of myself and this story was so fun to read!! Plus all the stuff ab Eliza’s parents and their struggles as immigrants, dude it was so similar to my own family’s dynamic in that sense so it was rlly refreshing to read. I loved this!

there is so much to love about this book. len dimartile, for one. eliza being unapologetically herself but also realistic in her insecurities and fears. the exploration of feminism (and REAL feminism, at that) especially in the context of performative activism was amazing to see. i’ve never read a book quite like it. there was so much going on, so many topics being explored, but it all fit so well. this was a great read.
