I really enjoyed this book and thought it was overall great and an entertaining read. I thought Elsie’s people pleasing was a little over the top and was off putting for me at times. I also wish we got more of Jack’s POV, I felt like we were just getting the same words from him the entire book. I also wish we found out what happened with Cece and Kirk! I also loved Cece and Hedgy!

CW: diabetic, gaslighting

This was my first read since leaving the hospital and getting new glasses. Once I got going, I really enjoyed this one. I did like how Ms. Hazelwood dived into adjunct life, especially with how much it has been in the news over the last few years.

I really enjoyed reading how Elsie and Jack got to know each other. My one hangup remains that we don't get to read about Jack's side of the growing relationship. I did find Elsie's avoidance issues interesting. This felt like a very comforting read for all the issues pushing on Elsie and Jack. I'm very glad that this was the book to get me back in my reading groove.

Musically, I should hire a tuba to follow me around.

Elsie is so effortlessly hilarious, I love her. Also loved the Olive and Adam's cameo. Don't tell them that possibly I love this book more than I did theirs oops-
