This book has everything I like in a romance book, starting with the FC, she had a personality, she was sassy, smart, she was really a very interesting character to read, and also she had like real insecurities an problems, I love that it has dual POV, so I can read the FC and MC thoughts and I love that.

I loved the MC, even though he was a workaholic, he always had his family at the top of his list of priorities, and he was very funny, despite his obvious traumas and insecurities.

Excellent sexual tension between the main characters, and the spicy scenes were hot and very sexy.

The only thing I would have liked is for him to suffer more after the mistake he made with Dakota

+ bonus epilogue

ehh

So the “lingo” in this book really got to me.. As soon as I read that she was gonna find a job that “slaps” I was like there is no way I can take this seriously. And that was in the first couple of chapters. I only finished this book to count towards my reading goal and the storyline had some potential so I wanted to see how it played out. The banter was absolutely childish between both of them and the fact that she calls him “dude” and “man” is a huge turn off for me. I skimmed so much in this book and had a hard time maintaining interest but somehow I saw it through to the end. Not her best work by far.

500+ pages and I still don’t know what a copywriter does. More epilogues full of weddings and babies pls!

AHHHHHHHHHH so I always get invested in characters when I read but I literally got soooo attached to the characters in this book!! It was so well put together….

Dakota and Lincoln are perfection! I love that this book was told from dual perspective because it really helps the reader understand the backgrounds and fears of both main characters.

The chemistry between these two is off the charts, even when they think they hate each other. What starts as an all out war over a cinnamon roll becomes an office romance full of tension and resistance. Neither character has any interest in love or commitment, they are simply trying to survive the hurts of their past.

But love will not be denied and when they finally give in to their feelings, a fake engagement for an ad campaign at work gives them the perfect alibi to explore their feelings without raising suspicion.

Enter Dakota’s crazy ex-fiancé and all bell breaks loose!

This book has so many amazing little twists and turns that keep the reader engaged and anxious for more!

I was actually plesantly surprised and really enjoyed this. I've never read any Nicole Snow books so I went into this one open minded. The premise and summary seemed like something I would like. It was great! Enemies to lovers, sort of fake marriage, insane banter, fighting over cinnamon rolls (the thing that brings them together), boss/employee, grumpy/sunshine, friendship and found family, a hot billionaire, spicy scenes, great supporting characters and a plot I really liked. It's long, but worth it. Dakota and Lincoln had such amazing chemistry! Their growth and evolution was just perfect. I also enjoyed the journey we see with Wyatt; it was so heartwarming and touching the way Lincoln cared for him and wanted the best for his friend. I loved the epilogue and the bonus scene we got. I definitely recommend checking this out!
