This book was just like any other romance where you fall for the billionaire. Which when I picked it up that was what I was wanting so it hit the mark. The smut is good and the romance between the main characters is great. I like that it touched on some tough subject like homelessness and veteran that come back from the war. The MMCs mom is amazing and I want her to adopt me! If you want something that is an easy read and does not focus on the hard topics much I would recommend this. Those please remember it still talks about them and you do see it as well.
Why was it so long??? This book was easily 200 pages too long. Almost DNF but powered through.

I was really enjoying this book until the third-act breakup. Dakota and Lincoln were great together and I absolutely loved their banter. They were both good characters who experienced a good bit of growth throughout the book, and I love the way their story ended. I do think the ending was a bit rushed, and I think the third-act breakup went on for way too long; it bored means I really don’t like when books bore me.
Both were so childish. I couldn't get past the fifth time she called him a douchebag.
I'm past half of it and it's boring and very slow and their bickering is annoying and childish

I’m surprised that I even finished this book.
I wasn't sure what I was expecting based on the title of this book, but I loved these two characters. Lincoln and Dakota compliment each other well. Lincoln may be a Marine but he has a soft side while being a great businessman. We get to see Lincoln's soft side when it comes to his military friend who he would do almost anything for.
Lincoln tries to keep Dakota out of his personal life, but he soon realizes he doesn't want to. Once he lets her in, she is like sunshine to him and everyone around him.
I really enjoyed this book and while it may have seemed a little long it actually is the perfect length for this story. I could not put it down and in the end I was sad to leave these characters.
