The FMC is TSTL and I just could not get past it. You are telling me that you recognize that you are in an EXTREMELY dangerous situation, yet time after time you are a smartass to the very people who could end you? Only to follow it up with some iteration of “I probably should not have said that…” 😒😒😒

There are some dark moments in this book, but knowing how everyone comes out of them stronger makes it a little easier to get through. Honestly, I can’t imagine these books without Tempest Mensah, Blake Lockhart, PJ Freebourn, and Michael Gallagher. I literally hear their voices in my head as I’m reading.
