Sometimes the miscommunication trope is amazing, and sometimes it makes me want to skim through the last 30% of the book... This one is the latter.

This was nice and sweet! The story was inoffensively cute and cozy; perfect for a light read.
The grammar was mostly good, other than a few pronoun case errors. I liked James' G-rated curses -- "holy cannoli" and "sweet mother of pearl," heh.
Dorian's French seemed to show up late in the book, and was sliiiiightly cringey. Sometimes the guys used the same phrases (like saying Elena could make dirt taste good), which wasn't a good look for the author, but the guys still managed to have relatively distinct personalities.
I really enjoyed the first two thirds of the book, when the story was focused on everyday life, baking details, and Elena's individual relationships. The last part felt like the author was making sure to tick off all the OV boxes, and it was less interesting. The nesting part felt sillier than normal, and it might have been because it was such a change from the rest of the book.
I didn't like that the author used the epilogue to shoehorn in the beginning of the next book in the series. But overall, this was a fun read!

This book was fine while I was waiting for my hold to come through at the library. It was a super fast read. I feel like 90% of the conflict could have been avoided by communication and asking questions instead of just assuming what everyone was thinking. Elena was the true perpetrator of this and really assumed a lot without anything to back up those assumptions.
