This was the perfect cozy OV story to help pull me out of a dark romance book hangover.
Is this the healthiest way to build a relationship? No.
Is it entertaining? Yes.
Does it seem silly that she would stay in a job she hated that required her to make herself small? Of course.
But as a late-diagnosed girlie who spent my whole life making myself small, working jobs that burnt me out, and having to learn how to stand up for myself, my needs, and accept who I was regardless of whether others accepted it, I get it.
It did get wrapped up really quickly, but I think that was due to both the competition, heat, and the amount of time it took to get everyone to that point.
All in all, such a fun story and I’m looking forward to checking out others by this author!
