The entire story was basically back story...no real high points or twist hope the next 3 are better.... 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Not going to support writer who thinks decent love interests would get the heroine high as a kite to the point she begs for sex and than ONLY finger her because that’s not rape, right?
I’m not even Amerikan and I still know to get bail out of jail, judge has to decide how much the bail is. It won’t happen so you dont have to go to the court.
I could go on but this pitty excuse for a book doesn’t even deserve my rage.
If the concept of this book sounds fun, just read Four Psychos.

This was just okay for me and I won’t continue this series unless I have it on audiobook because the audio version is so much more superior than actually reading it.

Ooh this was a fun quick read (and the whole series is free on audible!). Kind of has Chilling Adventures of Sabrina vibes but for adults and a bit darker. Excited to see what happens in the next book!

What an awesome start to a series. Kel Carpenter introduces all the main characters giving us just enough to tease us and enough to make us pull our hair out.
The chemistry between Ruby and the four horseman is hot, very hot and tense... you can slice through the sexual tension that is present in this book.
I cannot wait until the next instalment to see where this goes and what happens when Ruby transitions.

TRIGGER WARNING**** sexual assault (in both the book and my review)
Literally nothing happened in this book. Absolutely nothing.
In a paranormal book, it is pretty important that every event contributes to the plot. (This is also the case for most books.) In this book, nothing happened. Except for the part where Ruby was molested. For no reason. It didn’t contribute to the plot or explain anything about herself the story background.
We don’t learn about Ruby’s backstory at all, or what her childhood was like. She grew up in an orphanage, but we never hear about her experiences, like with her mother abandoning her. We don’t know anything about the Horsemen. We don’t know about Ruby’s best friend. The entire book was a game of “I’m right!” “No, I’m right!” between her and the horsemen. Ruby just wouldn’t believe she was the Devil’s daughter until the last page, much to my frustration.
Anyway, this book was a total waste. It was boring, there was no romantic connection between the characters, and we learned absolutely nothing about anyone.
