I really liked how this felt like an epic romance, it was an addictive read.
the only downside for me (and why I docked .25 stars) was that I wished we got to see more of them gradually falling in love, not suddenly going from lust to love.
loved how strong serafina was and how complementary she was to remo. they were both badass!
remo was an amazing hero, I loved how different he was with serafina and how gentle he was (in his own way).
loved seeing the falcone’s once again, they are one of my favorite mafia families. love their dynamics and how bone deep loyal they are.
also I’ve been loving seeing them progress and change as time passes and with the influence of the heroines of the series.
I think twisted loyalties is still my favorite of the series, but this is a very close second.

I absolutely loved this book! Remo was an exciting hero to read about - incredibly intelligent, ruthless, fiercely loyal, brutal, and somewhat messed in the head - which meant his enemies in the Outfit could never predict what he would do. And what he did at the beginning of the book was crash Serafina’s wedding to an Underboss in the Outfit and kidnapped her, as revenge for their attack on his Camorra territory in a prior book (Fina is the Outfit Capo’s niece). As it turns out, Fina was not what Remo was expecting either, and her strength of will and personality excited Remo, and he loved the challenge. Instead of hurting and torturing Fina, he created an image of it for her Outfit family, to torment them. And all the while, we got to see their relationship develop. Oftentimes for me in romances I love the hero, but the heroine’s character is not usually as well-loved - but this was a wonderful exception, as Fina was an excellently written heroine. I especially loved her bond with her twin brother, whom she adored and they would have done anything for each other. Both Remo and Fina grew individually throughout the book, and you could honestly see how their relationship with each other worked, even against the worst odds. Highly recommend, and this will be a book I definitely reread. 5 stars.
Remo the Capo of a rival mafia family steals Serafina on her way to her wedding as part of payment for her family's sins. Remo is the cruelest of the cruel is Serfina eyes, until he slow isn't that bad. What starts out as mind game with Remo always the winner evolves into a complex game where Serafina and Remo both via for top spot. How far does revenge for past slights of honor need to go? Remo wants to keep his Angel, even when his head tell him she has to go.
This is the third in the series, I did not read the other two books first. I was able to follow along just fine and get the gist of what happened in prior books. Nice world building with strong willed characters.

I don’t really like kidnapping trope, yes my moral compass is unstable but not like Camora’s guys.
But I loved their banter and how they treat each other after the got back together.
