I was utterly charmed by this story. I enjoyed spending time with the characters, spending time in small-town Ireland in the summer, and being along for the ride as Kieran and Clementine/Jane get to know each other, open up to each other, and challenge each other to find their best authentic selves despite unusual obstacles. And when certain truths were revealed near the end, I was swept up and my heartstrings definitely plucked.

An entertaining YA romance set in Ireland that sees a young teen girl grappling with amnesia when she's the lone survivor of a plane crash. Feel-good and great on audio narrated by Alana Kerr Collins, this was a light-hearted read with some depth that I would definitely recommend.
Just a mediocre read, really. I had a little issue with the book's beginning. Despite the slow pace of the plot, the idea remains intriguing. I continued to the end even though I had pretty much lost interest.
Couldn't put it down!!
I had to force myself to put the book down and go to bed. Loved this book so much! I would highly recommend this book!

This was a decent little contemporary romance. The amnesia angle was an interesting plot choice. However, the main character was knowingly lying for the entire book, which rubbed me the wrong way. Cute, but a little disappointing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fast read and would be PERFECT on the beach listening to the waves crashing in! Definitely makes me want to catch a flight to Ireland too!

I liked the beginning and ending of this book, but had a hard time getting through the middle. The romance didn't capture me the way I wanted it to -- parts of it felt too twee and forced. The whole story comes together at the very end, but takes too long to get there. That said, I adored the side characters, especially Siobhan and Clive. I want to read about their life raising Siobhan's daughter.
The Upside of Falling Down by Rebekah Crane is a contemporary romance about Clementine Haas. Clementine wakes up in the hospital to find out that she has amnesia. As she tries to recover her memory, she decides to do a bit of self-discovery and find out who she really is, with or without her memories.
Romance, friendships, and adventure in the midst of finding out who you are. Whilst I really liked the main characters, Clementine and Kieran, I loved the side characters and following all the different relationships (love interests, friends, siblings) that unfold throughout the book.
The pacing is fairly steady throughout, nothing dragged and the writing style was easy to read. It is a bit predictable and I did guess the reveal at the end but that was more exciting than disappointing.
I chose this book for the Irish readathon as it is based in Ireland and am so glad that I did. I highly recommend this book to everyone out there that loves a good romance. I would love to see this adapted into a movie, I would absolutely watch it, as well as read it again.

Set in Ireland, Clementine is the sole survivor of an airplane crash, and she wakes up with amnesia. As she tries to remember who she is while creating a new life, some wisdom emerges:
“You can’t be overwhelmed by the what-ifs, or you’ll miss out on the best part.”
“I’m beginning to think it’s a waste of time trying to predict the future. Life takes too many turns.”
“Life is a collaborative effort. We can’t do it on our own.”
