I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC for this novel. I found it to be a nice homage to the slasher films of the 90s. The story is set in our time but has the feels of a slasher film in the sense of us wanting to yell at the characters for being dumb and not just running away.
I also really enjoyed the story like and the way the author created this world. There were a lot of hidden layers. I won’t go into detail but finding out Kansas and Constantine’s past/family ties made me super giddy. As for the FMC Eisley, I had mixed feelings about her. Sometimes I wanted to root for her and for others I wanted her to fall into the dark side with the boys. Granted, with the way her character is, I felt as though the skills she used were spot on for the person she is.
This was a fun read. I believe a lot of people will love and appreciate a lot of the storytelling and characters!

Os personagens estavam me tirando do sério. A menina principal sendo uma tonta e esnobando o amor do amigo que sobreviveu (e ficando com ciúme quando ele segue com a própria vida) enquanto perdoa o marido e automaticamente abre as pernas pra ele. Ah, vai catar coquinho!

i absolutely loved this books. it was so niche horror cult classic and the unhinged spice was top tier. trigger warnings as long as your todo list- check em before you wreck em.
